1970 Volvo 1800E $2000

SOLD
1970 Volvo 1800E.
Manual Transmission
Odometer shows 198k Miles
Reddish Orange Paint

I'm selling my beloved Volvo 1800. Why? Because a Suburban rear-ended me and put a large dent in the back. The car is is no way ruined, it was a very low speed accident, but it does have a salvage title now. I don't have the time or space to do what is necessary for this car.

This car was a daily driver both before and after the accident. It runs very strong. I put 75,000 miles on this car and it can easily go another 100,000 more. A Volvo 1800 (not mine) holds the world record for highest mileage car (more than 2 million miles and it's still going.)

The Good:
- Accelerates strong, handles great.
- Starts amazingly well.
- Stock Alloy Wheels (including spare)
- Upgraded Electronic Ignition
- IPD Swaybars and valve cover
- Air Conditioning (Needs recharge, belt and pulley)
- Leather seats (with head rests!)
- Protective dash cover.
- Nice, working gauges (except clock)
- All dash controls work.
- Doesn't leak engine oil.
- Transmission and clutch in good shape.
- Nice shiny chrome.
- Custom Nardi Steering wheel.
- Heater works excellent. (perfect for Swedish winters)
- Good glass.
- Carpets are in fair condition.
- Not missing any major parts or components
- Amp and 2 6" speakers setup for iPod.
- No major rust
- California car
- Original Service Manual (working on this car is fun. There is tons of support on the internet)
- Box full of other random parts an goodies for this car.
- Lots of receipts, of maintenance and repairs.

The Bad:
- the dent. It's in the rear, and it totaled the car according to the Insurance company. Call Car Collision, which is one of the top body shops in SF, and does lots of Volvo 1800 work (this would be an *excellent* repair) they quoted me $8000 to fix it. As unsightly as it is, the car is still completely drivable.
- the paint is chipped and/or faded in some spots. Overall the paint's not so hot.
- The brakes; the brake booster is slowly failing. It has not completely failed, but it should be fixed. Currently, without bleeding the brakes first, the car is not really safe to drive.
- The car idles rough when warm.
- The passenger side mirror has been broken off. I still have it.
- Small patch of rust at the bottom of the wheel well.
- Parking brake doesn't really.
- Few small dings here and there.
- Heater fan control knob is broken off. (I still have it, to be reattached)

The Yakima roof racks are sold separately for $100.

The Car is located in Sebastopol, about an hour north of San Francisco. You can email me, or call (415) 812-1254 to see the car. Feel free to email or call with questions.
